SERP or PR?

Hi everyone! Can anybody give me an advice what is more effective for a website: Page Rank or SERP? Thanks in advance!

 

SERPS. The higer the SERPS the higher the traffic.

 

Of course SERP, except you're a link seller.

 

higher search engine rankings bring you sales and not the PR of your page , so concentrate more on building links and improving the rankings.

 

On the other hand, a high PR will help you in getting a high SERP. Of ocurse PageRank is not the be all of high SERP but it sure helps along with good keywords among other things.

They go together though, the better you get in the SERPs, the better you PR will be...

 

Sorry but getting good SERPs will not get you a good PageRank because PageRank is all about inbound links only, nothing more, nothing less.

 

SERP ranking is important, If you want your website to have more traffic driven to it and in effect gain more customers then you ideally want your website to appear within the top 30 results pages.
SERP is better that for sure, but if you want to make money on selling places for the articles and so on, you better make your PR grow,

 

SERP: Search engine ranking position,

If you have good position(SERP) in major search engines then you must be have good traffic then in this way you can able to get good sale leads with search engine ranking position.

Now about PR: Page Rank,

Page rank is importance of website at view point of search engine if your website is more search engine friendly and it's complete user friendly then it's automatically you will get good page rank by Google.

 

PageRank is useless in my view, but is a good thing to have. SERPS are important and gets you the traffic.

 

AFAIK PageRank is only one factor which is used when calculating the position of the site in the searh engine results. I have many sites that don't have high PageRank and still outrank pages with higher PR.

 

Go for the SERP as thats the thing which will get you real traffic.

 

serp give you more traffic then page rank give you reputation of your website (more trusted by advertiser).

 

Higher SERPs = More organic traffic.

However, from just my humble experience; PR is more regarded when selling your website or if you are a link seller. It depends on what you 'are'. Site flipper, webmaster, link seller, differs. Webmaster; take more care of the SERPs; PR will follow anyway because they are tied together as correctly stated above.

 

SERP is more important then PR.

 

i like serps i think pr is worthless. i have a pr 0 website but i'm getting 2400 a day average in uniques according to google analytics. which by the way is an awsome tool for free. also 16 minutes on average each person. Alexa pretty much sucks as well but thats just me

 

Interdependent

High SERP => More Traffic , May Increase PR too
High PR => Probability of gaining High SERP.

 

I think it depends on what your target is.
If you want more traffic, go for SERP.
If you're in link sales business, go for PR.
That's my opinion.
