Search engine optimization is a compartment or division of Search Engine Marketing.

The difference between SEO and SEM has the diminutive to do with the overall mindset of the people's status quo, and that's most of the problem.

SEO = search engine optimization. optimizing your site for natural listings and directories.
SEM = Search Engine Marketing. It includes seo and paid techniques like paid inclusion and paid placement.

SEO is a piece of sem.

SEM- Focus organic listing ,ppc, paid services and all.

SEM = it's called search engine marketing it's paid and you can use PPC, get instant result but it's paid you have to pay to Search engine for every click.
