hi guys, I got a question. If you buy a domain that is PR4 and higher and got backlinks and indexed in DMOZ, google, will it all be preserved once you buy it?

Also how do I get my website pages Live Indexed?

that depends on that site owner.

say the old site got link with some other site with a link exchange and when the owner knows abt the expiry of the site it may be removed

I suppose you have nothing to worry about. That is process which do not depend on you. You can't influence on the someones mind.

If the web address is listed in the SE and majr directories it will keep the backlinks. But i think that you should focus on attracting more visitors.

Interesting.. so then if I am buying a site that is both in DMOZ and Yahoo indexes and lets say has 200-300 backlinks then they'll stay....

I was talking to GoDaddy.com representetive today and asked him a questio about buyign a domain with High PR. He brought me example: lets say you buy finance.com , you have to have a content ready for this domain so that downtime is only a few hours and then once search engines look at your web site and see that your website's content is still the same with finance keywords in it, they'll preserve the PR.
Anyone had an experience with it?
Is it really necessary to have a content ready and hook it right up to the domain right after you buy it so its not staying without any content in order not to lose its PR?

The backlinks will remain in that timeframe. If the content remains the same then the PR should remain.
