    Yes, it's free!

    Search engine submissions are automatic. i.e. they crawl your website and index it in their search engine. Provide a good flow of unique content and you'll be right.

    Hello,
    Yes, it is free :) but do not worry about it, add content to your site, and then try to get backlinks to your website, for example add a signature here in DP forum, or crate articles.. and submit them on ezine

    There is no payment for search engine submissions. But this strategy is now obsolete and ineffective based on my experience.

    You don't need to time waste on search engine submission..... Just build some good backlinks.. from digg,etc sites like that.. and ALL search engines automatically crawl your site and index it very fast.

    Nope. Actually Google sends a rep to your web hosting company. They weigh your server in pounds. Then they multiply it to a random number / bandwidth consumed by your site. Then in dataroom they shout "hullllaboooo" and measure the decibels. Upon calculation on a metrix they come out with a number that you have to pay within 3 days to get into google. They accept cash only BTW.

    Search engines submissions are free but the thing you need is to index your website. It's not easy as the term free is. You need backlinks and many other things which needs efforts..

    Thus efforts => money

    It's free to submit your site to almost all search engines of course. You don't need to submit cause once your links are on other sites, your site will be indexed once it gets crawled anyways.

    It's free, unless you're talking about Adwords or sponsored links. Anyone that tells you otherwise or attempts to charge you for inclusion (like the phonecall I had the other day from some marketing firm) is lying.
