Thats really sad to know.. you can take them to court or can complain about this to yahoo support forum..This is also lesson for all of us to be cautious whenever we transfer domain..
I had several domains with them a couple years ago and I knew they were going to charge me $35 within a couple months, so I transferred the domains. However, I didn't see anything about having to cancel the domain accounts too, so they charged me $35 3 times anyway! Oh and get this... this is the best part, the credit card I had on file for them to charge was EXPIRED for over three months and they STILL CHARGED ME! Now, that really is a scam! So, I had NO PROBLEM getting the money back using my CC company.
too bad. I was suspicious back then on their marketing style. thats why i never bought a domain from them.
Stay away from Yahoo hosting guys. Why spend unnecessary money when you can get better services cheaply?
Indeed it is highly unethical practice. Yahoo has been engaged in many similar unethical money stealing policies in past. If you give them your CC #, it is sure way to get it charged to max.
The OP is the one at fault not Yahoo. Why would you not check the Yahoo e-mail address?? Many companies have recurring billing and if you do not take the time to cancel they will charge you. If you move to a new place to live and do not cancel your utility bills you will still be charged. So the fault sits with the OP. Yahoo - Correct OP - Incorrect Truth hurts, but it helps to teach you a lesson.
O its not good dear you have to do some thing about that or do not deal with it again it will waste your money dont try it again and stay away ...
I had a very similar experience with Yahoo domain names as well a few months ago but, without the domain trasfer. They simply charged my card twice for the renewal, with 2-3 day interval. Thought it was a mistake and contacted them. Needless to say I never got my money back. I hate YAHOO!! F*cking scumbags! Charging double for their crappy services..
When you signed up with Yahoo the default setting is to auto renew unless you change it. Godaddy and many others do the same thing. This is not anything new. It's been this way for years. You might want to turn your anger and hostility at a company that does what it writes it will do and is standard operating procedure for their competitors as well, into a positive change where YOU pay attention to what you are doing.
