Did MS stop support for XP? If so, how is it is secure on netbooks which most seem to use it. They are designed to surf the web, so the OS needs to have regular updates to make it secure!

I don't think they stopped support for it yet. It is still very popular with a lot of people using it. Maybe after windows 7 has sold more and becomes accepted. Sooner or later I would think they would phase support out like they did with win98. Since a lot of people are still using it and win7 is too new yet, I think it will be a while yet. But now ms has to support xp, vista, and win7 for the average user.

Ah, ok. I read here a few months ago that they were stopping support for it. I shouldn't believe everything I read here.

    Short Answer: Not yet.

Bit Lengthy Answer: Microsoft will stop supporting XP in the future. Currently, it is still selling XP for netbooks. Firstly, it should stop selling the products before it can stop support for a particular product. This is the way, everyone does. ;)
