Everyone is always looking for the magic SEO bullet, sadly there isn’t one. The whole concept behind SEO is to have proper on-page optimization and quality relevant backlinks. Really, the on-page optimization part is simple and just about anyone can do it and achieve results from it. However, it’s the off-page optimization (backlink building) that takes the toll on any site looking to achieve good rankings. We’ve all heard the so called methods; social bookmarking, forum signatures, writing articles (articles can be VERY useful when done properly), link exchanges, blog comments, etc. The problem is EVERYONE does this making a nulling effect in terms of quality of these backlinks. I’m going to teach you a little bit about backlink espionage; note, this may or may not work for you depending on the type of backlinks. One of the key methods to building the right backlinks to achieve a specific rank is over looked very often. Using Yahoo! you have the ability to view backlinks of other websites; mainly your competitors. This is a great way to figure out which methods are being used to build backlinks for that specific keyword phrase and ultimately use them yourself. Below is the advanced search operator to use in Yahoo! to get a list of a websites backlinks. Linkdomain:http://www.google.com Code (markup): Note: Results may be different with the non-www url. The above code will provide you a list of all the backlinks the Yahoo! search engine crawler has located for that specific website; and in the opinion of Yahoo! in the order of their quality. What you’ll want to do now is view the top 20 to 30 ranking sites for a specific keyword and start making notes on which links you can mimic and\or copy. This is an excellent way to build backlinks in the same manner as your competitors who have already achieve the results they are looking for. You’ll find this to be very fruitful in many situations and help increase your ranking over the long scheme of things. Hopefully this process will help you out in some way, shape or form.
Or you could just use a service like seorush and find out not only all the the key phrases a given domain ranks well for, but also all of the key phrases they advertise with on adwords.
Yes, you could use SEORush to view anchor text as well, but since you'll have to manually review the web page anyways it's a lot easier to just do it all manually. Not to mention the SEORush website is no longer functioning... lmao. Also, how would you expect any tool to find all the keywords an advertiser is using with adwords; it's part of the Google privacy policy to "prevent" this and without access to data via Google's servers you couldn't know every possible keyword or keyword phrase without check every possible key phrase possibles.
Contents is a king if its relevant, and the link are also important, but by having contents and link is not enough, we should do correct onpage SEO
there was a tool called Traffic Marks which would find authority sites helping your competitor rank higher in the search engine. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to work anymore.
I think semrush is the one your looking for (sorry if i'm wrong). Well back to the topic: following the moves of your competitors is not a bad one option. For me, just be open to some alternatives in the internet that can. Following your competitors plus some extra effort to be on top of them is a good move. Thanks for a informative post.
They must have just done down, it was up yesterday. But there are a ton of similar websites, that provide you the top keywords that any given website advertises on. I'll post a few when I get a chance this afternoon.
Yeah, SEMRush is the site I was talking about, and they are up now. And there are several other sites out there that show similar information. Using these sites, you can see not only the key phrases that sites are optimized for organically, but also what Google key phrases they advertise on and what ads they run. In a competitive market, it's crucial to know what you're compeditors are up to.
nice operator, i was using link:www.examlpe. com and it make one tired of reading the whole list of 600 links just to know about 10 new sites, this is great.
