Majort SERPs Update

    Hey there,

Am I the only one who has noticed a major update in SERPs during the last 48 hours?

Don't get me wrong - I'm well aware that SERPs update constantly and all the time, but this time it seems to be something bigger as a whole bunch of my sites have new rankings and some have made major jumps (i.e. from page #14 to 4th on page #1 and another one from #1 spot to #23).

Very curious as to whether others have noticed a similar thing.

    Cheers,
    Bryan

EDIT: Damn, I noticed the typo in the title line of this thread half a second after hitting the 'submit' button and can't change it any longer :p

Yes same thing happened to one of my site. I have observed that my site shifted back to 2nd page from 3rd position in many Google search engines. (i mean google.co.uk,google.com.au,google.de etc etc).
    Lost many visitors :(

I too noticed the major update.

One of my client's site rose from page #20 to Page #5.

I believe it is the PR effect.

No matter how much people discard PR - it still does have good effect on SERPs.

Simple enough you are using a .org TLD which in reality you probably are not.

.org is reserved for organizations that are typically charities or non profits such as United Way Red Cross etc. Google seems to use the USA IRS Tax Code under 503C in its determination and as such a commercial site such as yours on a .org is likely to receive a filter which seems to have been applied and which dropped your rankings.

To the OP there was a recent IBL / PR update over the last couple of days yes.

    :)

    :)
