Death isn't final. Only your ego ends. This life's a test. You aren't free right now. ...and so on and so forth... This discussion ends when people disagree what happens at the end of your life. If you really ended when you died, you could do whatever you wanted during your life regardless of the repercussions. Very few people live this way, stating they'd rather do good for goodness' sake. That in itself is admission that what you do and who you are carries on when you pass; the only thing that returns to the earth is the body you're currently inhabiting. Believe what you want, just know that you need to find the common ground between all beliefs. The only incorrect belief is the one that goes against nature's logic and conservation of energy.
Here's my theory. The bible is the word of the devil. Since the devil is almost as powerful as god he can easily fool people into thinking he is god. God just doesn't care, if he did he'd destroy the devil, after all he created him. This would explain all the sacrifices and killings in the bible and also why religion leads to so many wars, it's just what the devil wants. It may be even possible that the devil already destroyed god and should you wish to debate me my answer will be "That's what the devil wants you to think".

When this physical life ends, your real being has, in the words of that song, ". . .only just begun..."; that is to, Eternally/Everlastingly Live OR, Eternally/Everlastingly Die (Where the "worm"/maggot, that's eating your Eternally/Everlastingly rotting flesh, "dies not (Mark 9:44,46,48)". You get to "FREELY" choose, here and now. . .ONLY, how you'll Eternally/Everlastingly Live, or how you'll Eternally/Everlastingly Die. . .either way, its a constant state of being. It is written, "He that believes on THE SON has everlasting life: and he that believes not THE SON shall not see life; but the wrath of GOD abides on him. (John 3:36)". . .note the present tense verbs.

The devil is not even close to being as powerful as God. Not close. He is only an angel, one that can't do anything without God allowing him to. God has no competition. Now the devil is tricky and has been able to sucker people into things, but he leaves some obvious trails behind that are opposite of what God does. He has many in his service even if people don't know it.

Cause. Science has always said that. I don't see how you go from concluding that because a cause was involved the cause is a magic man in the sky, and no doubt your particular cults magic man and not any of the other thousands that have been invented by the illeducated to explain things beyond their intellectual capacity.
