Want to make MORE! Have no interest in high paying niches...

I am finally earning $100+ with my websites! I feel I have put some hard work into building, optimizing and marketing my couple websites.

The problem is, I want to make MORE! However, the sites I am interested in are low paying niches. I have no knowledge or interest in the high paying niches. And to make good money, you have to have some knowledge and interest in the top you choose, correct? Well, I have no knowledge or interest in the mesothelioma, lawyer, medical malpractice, etc... sites.

I guess the easy route would be to start using the MFA software programs. However, I don't want to get into all that either. Sure, I want to make lots of money, but I want to create my own content and it has to be something I'm interested in. What I'm interested in is mainly entertainment stuff. Entertainment sites equal low paying adsense income!

My whole rant is basically.....I'd like to find a niche that I enjoy and can make decent money with instead of the low chump change niches. I just cannot find it and it is very frustrating.

Maybe I should just build 100 entertainment niche sites. That might take some time, of course.

I'm of the same attitude, most high-paying keywords are boooooooring.

So what you want is 1) enjoyable subjects that appeal to you, and 2) good money.

So why not balance? Keep doing your websites for fun, that will (as you've proven) make some money, but then have one or two low maintanence sites that pay more with higher keywords.

LOL. Very funny!! But, I'm definately not interested in making a "nose picking" website. Gave me a good laugh, though. Thanx.

How about a blog about electing Kanye West to President?!! :)

    http://kayne08.blogspot.com/

This was something I did awhile back...I had lots of fun just making up junk about Kanye West. I did get up there in the search engine ranks and it still trickles me in a few bucks here and there in revenue. All for having a little fun :)

    Thanks Sandy!

My little secret to coming up with new material was to subscribe to a Google alert about Kanye West. Then I read the small news article and construct it to make it a parody. This is a great technique I use when I encounter writers block...plus it doesn't just fork for Kanye West articles ;)

If your website get good traffic, don't let it go to waste on just low paying clicks. Try to think of a high paying keyword topic which you think your visitors might also be interested and put links to that other site on your current site. That topic must also be of interest to you though. Ususally visitors to a celebrity news site also like fashion. Fashion ads pays better. I hope you get what I'm saying.

like cyanyde said, try to find something that your visitors are interested in in the same niche you enjoy working on ... like the anime topics i saw couple of days ago ... one guy had an anime website and was getting a few cents for his clicks ..... another guy with an anime website had 50 cent clicks because he made a page about anime dvd's, that were paying better apparently.

Try the same thing with entertainment websites if this is what u like... look for some higher paying keywords related to your favorite topic and work on that....who knows...maybe there's something :)

But ask yourself, how many people search for entertainment news/gossip/whatever and how many people search for mesothelioma (if that's even how you spell it!!)? ;)

The key here is traffic. Make your entertainment site(s) the best in the business and the money will flow.

If you were a farmer selling apples would you try to build and sell cars just because they have a higher price tag?

There must be a niche that you have some interest that pays decently.Anyway, with $100 a day, you must have a very popular considering your niche does not pay much.

I don't see where the OP said he made $100 a day. I'm not saying it isn't possible. We all know Perezhilton.com and Dlisted.com are raking in thousands a day. But I can't figure out why.

I find it amazing how some people here manage more than one site. I have trouble just doing one. Just think of all your hobbies and decide which is more expensive.;)

Nope. I don't make $100 a day. Took me 3 months to get to my first $100. Now, I make $100+ per month.

w3bmaster, I make a living elsewhere as well....the dreaded "real job". I wish I were making more $$$ elsewhere online. But I'm at a start, anyways!

runastun564, I don't really have any interesting hobbies(only 5 - 6 hours free time per day for me)...maybe I should get a life, LOL. I listen to music, watch movies, play games, go to work, excercise and talk to friends online. I almost made one of them myspace resource sites like 2 months ago, but decided to pass....overpopulated then and seriously overpopulated now!

    My paying sites...
    1. Game Site (low $ niche)
    2. Jokes Site
    3. Game Blog (getting popular) ....banned from Digg

tonyrocks...thanx! I signed up for Google Alerts for my favorite band, celebrity and game character!! That should help out with my writers block as well.

I will try and target higher keywords within my already selected niches...

Id like to know what keywords are bringing in a dollar per click or more, I dont understand if you get 500 clicks and only make 12 bucks how do you make more than that and does the keyword really matter or is it traffic?
