Why does Internet Explorer suck so bad! ~ Serious question.

The richest man in the world owns the company but they can't make a nice web browser. I downloaded the beta 7 thinking, hey maybe it's gotten better, of course it still sucks if not more than before. So seriously, why does it suck so bad? Why can't it be good like firefox?

 

why indie sound much better than pop? Because ppl create stuff for their interest, with passion, but not cold cash

 

That makes some sense I guess. What is indie by the way?

 

independent music...most of them are not sign with major record label..they make music the way they like. They are free from the market demand and control from producer

 

dude, it's obvious that all their R&D went into "Paint"...that S is sic

 

MS took many years to grow IE into this huge bloated pile of sh*t. Now it's hard for them to make it better.

 

I have firefox downloaded aswell, personally though I prefer to use Internet Explorer. It does everything that I require from it, and only use firefox for certain websites where things seem to load better on it.

 

You don't have to use IE if you don't want. There are plenty alternatives.

 

actually if IE have tabbed browsing i would use it once or twice. but with the fast fire fox pplus tabbed browsing, surfing is comfortable.

The new beta version of IE does have tabbed browsing but it still sucks really bad.

 

Despite all this,most of the visitors to my site still use IE

 

I know there are some non-standard style issues in coding for IE but what is the big fuss over IE. I use IE, FireFox, and Opera and always tend to drift back to IE although I started with Netscape 1.1. I always Alt-Tab so tabbed browsing is not that big of a deal for me.

Also, use a word other than "sucks" (grown ups know the origin of the term and it's pretty nasty), say something like it's not standards compliant, it's not as extendable, or it hogs memory.

 

IE sucks mainly because the man who created it can afford anything in the world. So he's playing ski hockey while your reporting errors .

 

ie is a pain in the ass to design for, and what's even more annoying is that there is no avoiding it

 

This is a hard question to answer, some sites works well with IE and some works well with FireFox...sigh

 

First off, my question was why does IE suck so bad, not what browser do you use. Secondly, I'll talk and use any word I want in my posts.

 

Because is a Microsoft product... and Microsoft products are the most common use softwares in the world... and all the big hackers, are hunting to hurt a big segment of people... you known , hurting the majority of us (99% of people on earth if possible)

 

make you wonder why some people complain about ie then, huh?

i personally exclusively use ie - no issues with it at all... i love it. firefox is quite cool too and there are people who love firefox...

but people who go around shouting "long live firefox... ie sucks"... are the minority who are anti-establishment and are looking for attention...
