My state, Illinois, has a new and young Treasury Secretary.

He wants to create a $50billion fund in Illinois that will funnel the repayments made on the TARP loans by businesses to the SBA in order to get these funds down to entrepreneurs.

65% of newest jobs have been from small businesses that comprise 90some% of total businesses...Too many people want to branch out and start something but don't have the means to do so...and I couldn't think of a more efficient way to spend the payments these corporations are backing back to the taxpayers for receiving TARP than putting it in a fund for enterprising people to get out there and employ some of the ~11% unemployed in Illinois.

A lot of the TARP money will never be paid back.

    :\ Yeah

    ...But it's our money

...So I think we should pay them a visit in a bit and kindly suggest they return it

Long time ago, these kids at a park stole my friend's sister's bike after she lent it to them because they said theirs broke and they needed one to play with a bit. Being a kind little girl who didn't understand what theft meant, she gave these bigger boys her bike, then they laughed at her and threatened her if she didn't leave the park without the bike.

She came to us and asked us to get her bike back and the two friends i was with got a pitchfork, axe, and pickaxe and we rode over to the park.

Needless to say, we got the bike back.

It will get to a point, when the lowest common denominator among us get upset, that we will actually enforce the rights and privileges we have.

If we leave it up to them, no they will not repay their TARP.

300,000,000 of us and about 1 police officer for 7,500 citizens. Odds are in our favor, but we're such kind and merciful people we give them the benefit of the doubt...But we can do that for so long.

tl;dr call and bug your congressmen and make appearances and hassle them like none other. It's a lot more fun than you think, there's no such thing as "professionalism" in politics so the louder and crazier you are, the more you get done. Oh America <3 Land of the Crazies <3 I love it.
