I am opening this thread where I will be posting few online tips and tricks everyday some of which may be known to you and some may be new to you, I will update this thread every day with some new tricks, hope you all like this

To start with today I am going to show you how can you make free local and international calls to any phone number for free

Making free calls through skype

I think majority of you have heard about PC to PC calls free but have you ever heard about PC to phone call free ? yes you can make that with Skype(well known VoIP) even if you don't have skype credits, just follow the steps

Steps:
1. Download the Skype
2. Sign up an account on skype.
3. Now Add +18003733411 to your Contacts.
4. Now Click on call Button On the Above Shown Number.
5. Now Listen the Call Carefully. When He/She says the Freee calls . At
that time You also havr to say the Free calls . Now wait Untill she says
type your Country Code First.. then u have to dial the Number and ur
Call will be connected .. Dont forget to add country code before it..

Enjoy free calling to your family and friends any where in the world for free

 

Step 1:

Open the video u like or want to download!!

Step 2:

Edit the URL from the "address bar" above.

(for example:
Code:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pXmYcBtT7Mc)


Step 3:

Type link before youtube, without changing anything....

(For example:
Code:
http://www.linkyoutube.com/watch?v=pXmYcBtT7Mc)


Step 4:

Then a site will appear called LINKYOUBE.com...
Wallah!!
Download your VIDEO in MP4 or FLV format.... thatz it!!!

This article is best in checking out whether your antivirus software is running at its best or not. It was not known to many that how to check the antivirus software they are using is working properly or not. Please read the article for the details.

1:-Click Start --> Open Notepad -->

2:-Copy the code exactly in the notepad :

X5O!P%@AP[4\PZX54(P^)7CC)7**$EICAR-STANDARD-ANTIVIRUS-TEST-FILE!$H+H*

3:-Now Save it with the name fakevirus.exe in any of your folder/drives.

4:-If this file got deleted immediately...then it means that your antivirus is working properly and updated !!

5:-If this doesnt happens and you see the saved file in that folder do right click the file and select scan with your installed antivirus and if the scan shows the file then it means your antivirus is working properly but not updated with a new version, as best antivirus softwares detect any virus (at the same second when you save the same in your system)without your effort of going to specified folder and scanning the folder.

6:-If it doesnt shows any kind of threats then you need to change your antivirus software immediately with some good one with the new version.

Block USB Drive (A Registry Tweak)

To this what can be done is that the USB can be blocked and then stopping the use of USB drives. Here is a simple registry hack to do so, try it with care.

1. Go to Start –> Run, type Regedit.
2. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlset\Servic es\USBStor
3. In the right pane, look for value Start and have value as 0000000(3)
4. Double click on that and change that value to 4.

You might be required to restart the PC, and then you are done with it, USB is now blocked.

In case if you want to get the USB unblocked, just change the value again to 3

first you should go

"start > run >eventvwr.msc"

Events are stored in three log files: Application, Security, and System. These logs can be reviewed and archived.
For our purposes we want the System log. Click on "System" in the left-hand column for a list of events.
Look for a date and time when you weren't home and your computer should have been off.
double click on the eg: info n it will show u the detail.
You can also use this log to see how long someone was on the computer. Just look at the time the computer was turned on and off for that day.
