I currently have a dedicated server, but would like to upgrade in the future.

    What I'm looking for
    Price: <$100 (preferably)
    - Dual Core CPU
    - 2GB+ RAM
    - 1TB-2TB Space (1-2 disks)
    - 5000GB+ Transfer (or unmetered)
    - 5 IPs
    - Cpanel, ServerCP (not exactly necessary)
    - CentOS 5
    - Reliable, no downtime

Post what you have along with prices and discounts you may also have.

With cPanel, you MIGHT be pushing it...100mb unmetered is 100$+ at any decent data center.

It's a file hosting website, hence why the large drive size.

cPanel isn't necessary, just a nice addition to have. a 10MB line unmetered might be fine. I just don't want to get an overage charge, it's hard to determine the bandwidth for the file server.

I'd like to keep it around the $100 mark, give or take $30.

Yes, give or take $30, obviously the lesser end is better.

Maverick, for what you are asking, it's going to be very hard to find anyone that will legitimately offer you what you are asking in terms of disk and transfer for that $100/mo range. In reality this would be more like 4-5 times that in terms of what it would cost to reliably and again, "legitimately" provide you with what you are looking for.

Also, you're asking providers to deal with the constant influx of DMCA's so there's that headache as well. I'd really suggest upping your budget, or at the very least lowering your expectations.

Thanks for your advice. The only reason I ask for something reliable is because my current server was just down for 24 hours, this was more due to the ticket submitting system than the actual service, but I would still like to know what's out there.

    Here's what I currently have.

Pentium D 925 Dual Core Dedicated Server
    Operating System: CentOS 5 - 32-BIT
Control Panel: ServerCP - Unlimited Domains - (CentOS/Fedora) +$4.95 USD
    Bandwidth: 4000GB/Month Standard
    RAM/Memory: 2GB DDR2
    IP Addresses (Base Allocation): 5
    Primary Hard Drive: 250GB SATA
    2nd Hard Drive: 500GB SATA +$15.00 USD
DDOS Protection Service - (Hardware Based): Network-Level
    Recurring Amount: $94.90 USD
