What is your fav. web editor?
I only use MS Front Page bcuz i`m using it since 3 years and i`ve found it easy to learn and use. However, i`ve also tried Dreamweaver but found it difficult to use so i just left it and still using Front Page to make web pages.

Classical starting step to web design and development. Start using latest tools, you must be missing many active element which could give different edge to your site.

FrontPage is known as the worst code generator ever made. It's so bad, even Microsoft dropped it years ago. You can't buy it anymore.

The best code editor is emacs followed by vi/vim.

I have been using Dreamweaver for years. I only use it for coloring and alignment.

I've used Dreamweaver for a while because of code completion and colors. Dreamweaver eats your processor :)
You can choose Notepad++ as it's very light.
A good replacement for Dreamweaver is Aptana Studio 1.5 and 1-2 plugins for it.

If the OP had only done a search, they would have found hundreds of threads with this exact same question on dp alone. Googling would have brought thousands.

I'm sure this thread, too, will continue for a while longer while others reiterate what's already been said. Like this very next one.

Add another for Dreamweaver, Although mine is an older version from 2000 I think. I need to upgrade sooner or later. I do not do the advanced sites at he moment so I guess it is pointless to upgrade atm.

I prefer Notepad. I hate being limited and I found that most web editors produce sloppy code.

It's always satisfying when completing code yourself.

If you're coding by hand, then it's up to you to find something you like. Nothing else matters.
I use DW8. And the wonderful free PSPad.
