Well, as many people are unaware, Our parent company sold talkgold back in November of 2008, however I have still remained on for the time being as the forum manager. As part of the current management team, I know the owners are looking to expand the core discussion of talkgold into just about every online money making field there is. This will happen over the next 12-18 months.

Question 2: What features do you plan to add to make your forum more attractive to your members?

Why didn't you ask him if his forum is so successful why does he steal domain names? I'm sorry but your post there has nothing to do with this thread other than the name. Noone really cares to see an interview with this guy whos name showed up in a number of whois results regarding stolen names

SCAMMER ALERT

I just got scammed here on DP by 'eroxite'. After doing some research, I came to a conclusion that his nickname on NamePros is 'JuliusOlivetti' (selling the same sites, domains, etc).

I pushed a domain first and then he refused to pay (he even tried to sell it there before he sent the payment). Then he scammed another guy (asked the guy to pay before he pushes - luckily it was paypal, so the guy did a chargeback).

Anyway, the domain he stole from me is DL-V.COM. Here's the info he's using on his domains:

I have had my business name since January 1rst,'08, and was stolen, as many others, after submitting the availability in September '08 with godaddy.com. I cannot have my business name in the web as I want, thanks to them.
After reading all the posts I made the decision to help many others in the same situation... I am going to contact the tv news. Hopefully a smart investigative journalist will be interested and expose this in the media as well. I am tired of the BS!

Hopefully posting it as stolen here will help you. And I think you should do anything that you think might help to solve the intellectual property scamming that's going on while companies like PayPal and GoDaddy turn a blind eye.

 

When the time came to renew my domain (kulikovair.com) registration with GoDaddy I discovered I was unable to log into my account to accomplish that. There were still a few weeks left before due date but my login was coming up with some sort of a problem which did not allow me to log into my account. Later I discovered that the login bug was intentionally created to make me think I was doing something wrong. When contacted, customer service was coming up with standard login instructions which led nowhere. As the expiration date approached I stepped up pressure on GoDaddy to allow me to pay & re-register my domain. This time I was asked to prove my identity, which I did by providing them my driver's license containing same information as in their records but it was not enough. I was asked to produce the credit card information used during prior purchase as well as their original receipt. At that time I was in the initial stage of my two-year oversees contract and had no idea which credit card I used to make that initial purchase, nor did I have access to any of my records in Los Angeles.

By the time the deadline to re-register my domain arrived I was on the n-th round of going in circles with customer service and GoDaffy would not budge. So I decided that I've had enough grief for $8.99-worth of registration and wanted to register my domain with another provider, to which GoDaddy's CS said: "Fine, in 90 days you will be able to do so." But I was unable to do that after 90 days and not after year and a half, until finally CS informed me that my domain was sold to Portfolio Brain for failing to make a timely payment.

Upon contacting Portfolio Brain I was once again asked to prove my identity, and after having done that, told that they would be happy to sell my domain back to me for what they have paid for it in the first place, and proceeded to ask me for $1,000.00 !!!

So, I went online and found hundreds of similar cases like mine with GoDaddy. If I was to pay $1,000.00 to thieves who call themselves owners of my domain I would only encourage more theft, so I decided to fight instead.

I am now looking to join with others in a hefty lawsuit which will not be a gentle slap on the wrist. Bob Parsons is a thief and belongs in jail with other thieves like him.

Please contact me if you have a similar situation with GoDaddy so we together can make things right and teach Bobby & others a lesson they will not forget anytime soon.

Thanks for reporting the ebay member. Maybe somebody else has some info on this guy that could help you to get your stolen names back. It is not hopeless. I got my names back, after being held for months.

I have tried to contact the person through email to resolve the issue. They advised me they had a bank transfer problem and would sort.

Its still been some time and since then I have requested the domain name returned to my account. At first they agreed to this. I have since sent the transfer info twice and had no reply. I have even tried to call the two numbers at the bottom of an email this person sent but no reply.

I am in the UK so not cheap to call but have tried from work.

This is the first time I have been shafted. I wont sell domains to people via PayPal any more if they are over a certain amount they will have to go through Sedo so it spoils things a bit.

I did email as a support guy advised me they would get the domain back but then an email from them advised its basically my tuff luck. I guess at the end of the day it is.

nodaddy.com is a nice genuine site against Godaddy.

 

I purchased this domain through godaddy.com and someone stole it and now godaddy.com wont do ANYTHING to help me. Keeps telling me to go to court. What kind of company are they running over there?
