This site is indexed when I check in google search by doing site:www.actgreenblog.com and the index pages carry the latest cache link. However when I check cache directly cache:www.actgreenblog.com the result in nil. What could be the issue and how to fix it ?
I wouldn't worry... Like you said, when you do the site: command you get all the cache links... Have you seen any drop in traffic or rankings?
haven't noticed any drop in traffic. it has been like this for almost 2 months now that the site is indexed but the cache cannot be found. Could there be any remedy for this ?
that's actually an issue.. if you can notice on the upper cache page it indicates that: The current page could have changed in the meantime. read more about cache page: http://www.google.com/intl/en/help/features_list.html#cached
If you want your site to be cached quickly them apply various tools like: 1. Book marking 2. Ping submissions 3. submitting manually in SE
Well, It happens sometime if you do not update your site and stop promoting so you site is indexed earlier but not have been crawled for long also it may be possible your site have a lot amount of duplicate content.
That is not an issue. It says that on every cache page of every website. If you havent seen a drop in traffic/rankings, then there is no real/significant problem IMO. * The cache is available for every page on your site * There are no meta tags I have seen on your site telling Google it cannot cache/index the site (eg noarchive/noindex) * 99.9999999999% of visitors will not look for the cached version of your site, so it will be having no impact on your visitors If you are still worried I would recommend visiting the "Crawling, indexing & ranking" section of the Google Webmaster Central forum, and posting your url (use a url shortner if you like), with a quick summary of your problem: http://www.google.co.uk/support/forum/p/Webmasters/label?lid=41234c84d9491af8&hl=en
Thanks for the feedback. I actually want that cache command to work for some specific purpose and hence all the trouble. I will post my query in the Central forums.
On the Google webmaster central forums you are allowed to bump your post if it is not resolved. Keep bumping it until you are sorted.
They keep on saying what is the use of cache command and ask me to use the site command. I will keep on bumping and hope to see a remedy to fix this issue.
Just wait for a couple of days, and if you're not preventing caching of your site it will simply show up. Better check your robots.txt and meta tags just to make sure
The site has been cached now through the cache command. Thanks everyone for the great support. Green reps.
