I have my website http://www.baycolony.org/ with page rank 2. I have done lots of quality link building. So I just want to know, when Google update the Page rank for any website.
Forget about Page Rank - at least the Page Rank you see in that little green bar. I removed the G toolbar over two years ago. PR is a distraction. Think in terms of traffic and rankings will follow.
I completely agree with both willybfriendly and ababneh84 but since neither of them actually answered your question, I'll give it a shot. Here goes: No-one knows. PageRank information hasn't been updated for quite a while (the longest period in its history if I'm not mistaken) and with several tips from Google itself (such as removing the PageRank display from WMT), some believe that they are in the process of fading it out completely. On the other hand, the delay might simply be because of the imminent launch of their new engine and we might see an update already in the very near future.
First off, Pagerank is "constantly" updated in real-time, however what we see via the Google Toolbar or via other Pagerank value check systems is only updated every 3 to 6 months and there is no specific time frame of a "public update". Rest assure, your web page's pagerank is updating every day to every hour and if you have that many quality backlinks every minute! However, don't let pagerank be the main choice for backlinks, remember, it's relevancy that plays the most important role.
google page rank is a load of crap people look forward to google pagerank like its there next birthday forget about it i just google webmaster tools for all the information you need about your websites traffic search querys and loads other stuff
Keep eyes on SEO forums, once you start facing news like "wow .. I made a great jump in PR", "ohh.. I loose 2 points, what should i do now?" blah blah and you will know the PR has updated. .. Just kidding..
forget about pr pr sucks. go for keywords and get traffic in i'm a pr 0 and getting in 1,400 per day and just been going a month
I think Google is no longer updating PR.... I just read a thread in Google website. memebers m I right
I wish some of you people would learn to read... Google is STILL updating actual PR constantly... There is a new Toolbar PR update going on as we speak. My PR7 site is showing new toolbar PRs today that were different a few days ago. PR still exists... likely always will as long as there is a Google. It's still used in rankings, although it's still a minor factor. The ONLY thing Google did was to stop showing the number of pages on your site w/ high, medium, low PR on the Crawl Stats page in Google's WMT. They thought it was sending a conflicting message when they are constantly saying not to focus on PR but they made it "seem" important by mentioning it in WMT. They NEVER said PR as a ranking factor was going away.
I agree that traffic is important than page rank.. If you have a good traffic your keywords/key phrases gain higher rankings on serp.. I have lots of sites that until now don't have PR it also have more backlinks..
i see a jump from PR0 to PR2 for one of my site. I don't how people come to conclusion that google is gonna remove pagerank from their toolbar.
