I've noticed do follow blogs or blogs using comment luv or something similar get a ton of comments (after you wade through all the spam). I am thinking of using this plugin and making the blog do follow. If let's say a comment is left on your site and it includes a link to their blog. Say down the road, the site changes and becomes a spam site or porn site, do you end up getting penalized for linking to a bad neighborhood?
I dont know, gd and bad right like everything. The thing is this; Yup you get a ton of comments, and yup some arnt spam, but all those extra comments are still motivated by dofollow, so they are all webmasters building links effectively, so unless you got a site that llikes webmaster traffic and can turn them into actually interested users, then whats the use? The use I guess is that you appear to have a busy site, so other users like the look of it, feel like is a buzzing community and are more willing to get invloved, the use is also that you get more traffic which you can tout to your possible advertisers. Maybe even these link builders put some content on yoour pages which gets you more long tailed traffic. But still, the point is, dont mix up real users with link builders, regradless of the quality of comment, but do remember you can turn them into real users, as long a its relevant to them, and not just their current campaign eh. Good and bad. Mostly good though I guess.
that's true people will comment only to leave their link back on your site, so better make your blog comments as 'no follow' or just moderate and approve to get valuable feedback.
Its really hard to posted on do-follow blog there are many spam and if your site is medicine and casino your will easily remove.
