As we all know that Bing has taken yahoo search to enhance searching results. As told Yahoo has powered by Bing . Does it means In future Yahoo search results will be going to Result according to Bing Algorithms strategy. What are you views ? responses are welcome
My understanding is that Yahoo results will simply be pulled from the Bing Search Database. So they'll be exactly the same.
As DParkes said, each one will consist of its own set of 'SEO' requirements as it is 2 different companies and their views on seo will be different. However, the way it searches however will be of the same, the results shown will be the same, but the ordering should be different.
That's my understanding also. Bing will use some search technology from Yahoo to make their results more relevant.
The search engine algorithm is the same. It has just different names and facets and outlets like google yahoo bing etc. I think they are just part of a big cartel manipulating the search result quality from time to time. Currently it seems to be in favor of google.
I really wish Bing and Yahoo would merge...that way Bing can expand on the YPN product and Yahoo can use the Bing search algos. Together they would have at least some chance to beat the Big G.
Yahoo! search guidelines will not be changed for this decade atleast - that's what a Yahoo! Search executive have told me.
I dont think all of them are the same assembled entity manipulating different names. They are what we see. Bing and yahoo can merge but would they? Only time can make things crystal clear.
