You left out the "I can't vote because I'm not an American citizen yet their policies affect me on the other side of the world"

Wow like the real election I was the first to vote :)

Yea I would vote for Obama because Bush was just a stupid puppet for the Oil industry. Lets cut their Taxes for they can lower the oil prices.. Yea I think we know how that went. If I were president I would be put a 90% Tax on the oil company's profits if gas prices go over $3 Gallon.

I would vote for Bush simply because of the state of the world. I disagree with largely with the policies of both of them on the whole, but during war time, or when war is looming, I'd rather someone who knows where their loyalty should lie.

This question is essentially what the 2008 election was about. McCain realized that way too late for his own good, although I don't think there's much of anything he could have done about it with that R by his name.

I voted for Obama in 2008 and I vote for Obama in your poll (of course.) Bush was a disastrous President. Obama may not be perfect, but I definitely think he's moving the country in the right direction overall and I'm hopeful that by 2012 he has quite a list of accomplishments to point to. We just have to make sure that we don't let the Republicans and the conservative Democrats get in the way of progress.

If Lincoln or Kennedy were around today the right wing attack machine (ie: Fox, Drudge, and all of the other right wing political machinery) would be all over them just like they're over Obama today.

And yes, I realize Lincoln was a Republican - but that doesn't really have any relevance to today's regressive right.

Politics in the US has always been a nasty business. Many people think it was actually much worse and dirtier back in the day.

Personally, I think Rush is a fucking moron, but I have no problems with him doing his thing - that is the beauty of America. He is free to speak his mind and others are free to speak out in response. The answer to speech you do not agree with is more speech - not to suppress what we don't agree with.

You mean no media supporting him?

It seems he is the only one(as I know of) who truly represent the contitution. I thought this was important to all americans?

The media does not support him because the people do not take him seriously. He is a fringe candidate.

He has some very good policies I agree with. That being said, I would rather have almost anyone than him as President. I fear the havoc he could bring to America based on his stated desires and goals. I think he would be an unmitigated disaster if he has been elected President.

Why don't people take him seriously. Don't what he says make sense? It also seems like he act by what he says which must be rare these days.

You mean people are afraid that it will hurt in many ways to dig into the real truth about how things are?

It seem this must happen sooner or later...can't stick the head into the sand forever...it will only get worse.
