do you allow files hosting scripts like rapidshare ?
Can your vps severs deal with 1000 visiteurs at the same time ??

 

We allow file hosting scripts, but if we get complaints against particular files hosted, then you will have to remove them.
Number of visitors handled depends on the type of website. 1000 visitors on a plain html site is possible, php maybe, php mysql, may not be possible. You can always burst to 1 GB RAM for a few minutes or you can upgrade to a higher VPS upto 4 GB guaranteed RAM. Higher than that, we offer vps clouds or dedicated servers.

I ordered this vps. I made a point that I needed more ips right from the start. Ended up buying twice as many as I needed because of how their packages were setup. The ips that were issued to me didn't work for days.

Finally today after I said I wanted a refund did they start working. I told them yesterday if not working by morning time I wanted a refund and that I was going elsewhere. It was not working, I ordered a new service and asked for my money back.

They have refused to issue a refund. I have filed a complaint with paypal

There are no refunds for any type of servers. We could have refunded you but the vps was used for spamming purposes, of which proof is available.

Are you trying to make fun of yourself ? The screenshot clearly says that you have 512 MB guaranteed RAM & another burstable RAM of 512 MB which adds up to 1 GB, if my math is correct.

Posting this all over DP is not going to help after you have used the vps to spam.

I ordered the service on Monday. Ips worked on Wed. 2 days.

I never spammed, I never even used the VPS. as it was not all there until after I asked for a refund .

They were issued on 27/10/2009 & started working on 28/10/2009

root folder in /root. Uploaded mailer.php files & email lists. Emailed 10000s & then deleted them after we raised the spam issue ?

Eric (if that is actually your real name), even if you delete the files which were used for spam, the /var/log contains your maillog & as well as your upload log.

this does not show actual number of emails but does give a rough idea.

We can complete our discussion over the PayPal dispute that you started.

I think I should get a mod to clean this up. (proof will be provided if required)

I asked for a refund today. You then came back and said I spammed.

I said last night, if not working by morning, I wanted my money back. they were not working until after I asked for a refund, when you then accused me of spamming.

 

I did see this coming. Do you want to say that we are trying to frame you ?

We created a backup of your vps before you asked for a refund. This backup already contains the files (which you have now deleted) & the logs.

Anything else you would like to accuse us for ?

plain and simple, you did not provide the service in the timeline promised. The email tickets prove this. I was not happy with the service nor did I use it. You can show what ever fake back up that you want, does not change what the ticket log says. You accused me of spamming after you didn't want to issue a refund.

 

The primary service which is the VPS was provided immediately after payment (other than the OS install time). The addon service (ips) was ordered separate & we informed you before payment that it will take time. You agreed to it & paid.
It did take more time than normal, which I agree with & shifted the dates accordingly.

The spam issue originated much before the refund request, which is why we took a backup of your vps. It contains all the proof we & Paypal require. I will present it to them & we can await their decision.

Please keep this to tickets/emails/pm/paypal-dispute as fighting in threads is probably not allowed in DP & could lead to you or me getting banned.

Update- PayPal is fast these days. They already resolved the dispute & provided us with the payment (i.e. no refund)

I dont want to fight, just make people aware of my negative experience and to watch out.

 

vePortal.com does it this way. Other control panels may do it some other way. The screenshot is of the veportal control panel, not customized in anyway to show burstable ram in a different way. We have just started VPSes, & VePortal is the only panel we currently use.

I would not recommend going ahead with that atleast on this forum. Maybe a mod could correct me if it is allowed.

 

Paypal auto closed when I esclated. they didn't decided anything. It is done this way with all non shipped items. I will call paypal and charge back with the bank if needed.

Yeah I had not seen it this way either. maybe a weird control panel. I never used the VPS to even see if it worked. Just how it looked in the control panel
