I am planning to create a php bulk mailer, but wanted to know how to stop mails from going to spam. Is there any method to stop it from going to spam???
1. Never use PHP mail( function. Use SMTP instead. 2. Use a server whose IP isn't blacklisted. I would like to help you further, but nothing else comes to my mind right now.
Use SMTP with authentication to send the mail to be precise. Basically you need to set up an email account on your domain to which the script will connect when sending the emails. There are free scripts out there for you to google.
ok.. whats SMTP exactly and how to code it ??.. is it a different language and will sending mass mails land up our ip in spam???
SMTP is not a programming language, it is a standard for sending emails. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SMTP About if sending mass mails will blacklist your IP, well, I think it depends. If you mass mail but you are not spamming, I don't think so.
