What is a good solid number of unique visits?

The site in my signature gets about 50 unique views a day. I am not earning very much money and I am still getting used to the whole marketing my site thing.

Can someone send me an estimated goal I should try to reach or something like that, all these things I am reading are not relevant to me because I am not wanting to get such huge traffic so soon, I am at the beginning stage.

    Thanks.

It all comes down to your conversion ratio. How much money you want to make is directly connected to how many visitors you have. So if you have 50 visitors and you make $.01 per visitor then figure out how much you want to make and shoot for that many visitors.

The flip side is trying to increase your conversions by reworking your content and site to better convert people into buyers.

There is no golden number. Some people will make $10 per visitor and others will make $0. There are many variables that you need to account for.

Jericho33, gave you a piece of good advice.
I'd like to add, that good solid number visitors depends on a web site's niche. So there is no some average meaning.

I think this is where people get lost in internet marketing. We always harp on traffic, traffic, and more traffic. Which is true, to make any money you need traffic first and foremost. But, you ultimately, your final goal is to make conversions. I had a partner at one point who had all of these "fantastic ideas" about what we should do because others were doing it. Essentially, these ideas would have clogged the look of our site, made it a lengthier process for website visitors to get to the final purchase, and it would have lowered our conversion ratings. Don't do something just because others are doing it, the goal is make conversions... period.

With 50 unique visitors per day, you should be making some decent money. Maybe take a look around and see where you are losing those visitors before they convert into sales.

I think 1000 - 1500 Uniques per day is pretty good . My site is 3 - 4 months old and in that range . also The revenue is very low ( $ 67 last month ) because everything on the site is for free , I only get money from donations and ppm ads .

Build backlinks, for a blog like that you'll need atleast 20 relevant backlinks before you start to see traffic.

I suggest you use the search feature of this forum, it's really a wonderful thing.
There's about a gazillion threads here about getting backlinks, both free and paid ones.

Since you don't want to get that huge traffic, you'd better find some ways to increase the conversion but not the
traffic. For example, add some incentives to your website to make it more attractive.I think it's worthy.

50 uniques is not bad for a start. Plenty of blogger blogs don't reach that number.
You can possibly get around 300 visitors a day with a good link building campaign and if you submit your blog posts to social bookmarking websites.
    Best of luck

The first thing you need to do is re-design the blog. It has no identity. At some point you'll also need to get this on it's own domain name.

50 uniques a day is nothing for a video game blog. You won't make any money from that. You asked for a good solid number...... I would say set goals at 1,000 and then 10,000 and then go from there.

I wouldnt mind setting goals at your stage.. Just keep up with the flow as it comes along as long as there is no loss. (Not a profit may be acceptable). Try to include methods that will involve and improve visitor attention and retention, Only those two are the factors of interest.
