Sure......You can check masspay fees....But this just for Premier/Business account. Also, If you send the money as "gifts", then the receiver will not pay the fees..
Because PayPal is most widely known online payment method. Especially in US which is one of the biggest markets... It is simple and fast. Moneybookers is mostly used by European folks.
Because of the paypal chargeback system. Many people are abusing it, but the main idea is to get your money back if you didn't get what you paid for.

PayPal had a virtual monopoly on eBay, so this allowed it to expand faster than any of it's competitors, and to become what it is today. Without eBay, PayPal would have been just another payment processor/gateway. I would disagree with anyone who states that paypal is safer, trust worthy...
