On my site (listed in sig) I have adsense (duh). The reason I am posting here is because I have a question. Why are my ads not relevant to my content. I have a gaming site, it is showing ads for everything but. I have weight loss ads, flight ads, book sales, how to make money online etc... Not a single one of these ads are to do with gaming so I think my CTR could be higher if it was more relevant. Is there a way to make ads more relevant manually? If not some tips would be appreciated.
You are not highlighting you main keywords "Games", "Gamers". User it in meta keyword tags and description. Put main Heading like "New Games in Market" or so....
how old is your domain? you need to put all the meta tag, description, keywords, and others robot or author.....
you should wait 30 mins or one hour see if that is continuing just create another channel and another set of ads. if not email google
It's very simple your keyword density is just non-existent. You need to massively up your targetted keywords. The ads won't be relevant until you do. The text is very generic, whilst it might all be about games, it's all about different ones (Which I know is the idea!) but you need to give google more keywords to work with. It is only about a week old. And thanks to all of the other suggestions. I'll work on adding more keywords to my articles/site.
