Is www.linkmarket.net good or bad for SEO ?

One of my friend suggest me using www.linkmarket.net to get backlink. But after google it, I found many negative reviews about the site.

They said that most of it links are junk and it can be considered as linkfarm site.

    Is it true ?

I think the site is more of a directory than a link farm.

I avoid all those link partnership sites; they tend to do more harm then good since they are full of duplicate content, spam ridden, low quality link partners.

Some people say never buy link for seo. What do you think? I optimize my blog by increasing and building a lot of links.

Our opinion is that reciprocal linking is okay if you stay in the same category, and stay away from bad neighborhoods (link farms, paid links, pharmaceuticals, gambling, etc)

we tested linkmarket on one site. By just using reciprocal links through linkmarket we achieved google page one, position 2 very quickly.

Linkmarket seems quite reputable, and it keeps track of links so that webmasters cannot delete your link on their site without you knowing it.

Reciprocal linking is highly controversial though... And the usual soap box position is to stay away.

LinkMarket are OK but you get a lot of spam there as lots of irrelevant websites try to exchange links.
They also do not provide three way link exchange and over all they are a waste of time.

Anything with the words 'link' and 'market' in it - I wouldn't trust.
