    Hi everybody,

I love these search results on own pages, but I've got many many questions...

I could not find detailed guidelines on what exacly is allowed on my search result page and what is not allowed. So here are some of my questions ;-)

    * Am I allowed to show Adsense Ads? I suppose not ;-)
    * Am I allowed to show Referrals?
    * Am I allowed to to responde to the search string? Maybe show some own results ahead of the Google results?
    * Am I on the save side with the solution I found for my Wiki? ( http://www.otterstedt.de/wiki/index.php/Hauptseite )

    many thanks for your attention,
    regards, Heiner

If you are choosing the "Open in new window" option, you simply can't place the AdSense code there. For the new function "Open in your site" option, I suppose ads will show up if you got the right keywords so putting a AdSense for Content ads in repeating the same thing. So better not.

    I guess referrals are alright.

I think yes to this question as well but would this affect your CTR of the ads? Not wise., I suppose.

I guess it is alright for the AdSense ToS. But for the copyright ... I don' know

Seems like an obvious question(s). You can put everything there that you are allowed to put in a normal page on your site.

Good point! On the other hand would it be a source for targeted trafic to related pages on my own site. I'll have to think about that.

You might be right, I removed the GNU-FDL icon on the result page.

I hope, you're right, but I'm not totaly convinced at the moment. Maybe Google could clarify this.

That is the whole point of being able to keep the search results on your page -- to keep the layout the same.

You're allowed the following on a single web page (max):

    3 ad units
    1 link unit
    2 search boxes

    Not more than that.

    Hi everyone,

    thanks alot for your replies!

The conclusion seems to be, there are no special guidelines from google for
search result pages. So everything that is allowed on normal AdSense pages
is allowed on search result pages aswell.

    Ciao, Heiner
