I rly like to play chess ( live, internet, tourneyz etc. ), but, i dunno where  Well i played at Chess.com but the servers were unstable and i got rly rly angry cause i lost a lot of games by discs.:mad:! Well now i play at Chesscube.com & it's pretty good, but i wanna know what u people think.

So, pls help me and post good sites for playing chess live, or just say ANYTHING you wanna say 'bout chess.

oh, & 1 more thing.. I cant find an application for Nokia XpressMusic 5800 ( Symbian ) that allows playing chess live on net. ( pls help me with that 2 ) :D

Thnx 2 all, and have fun.

    Always here,
    Misa Misa

Install YM (Yahoo Messenger), it has pre-installed games - including chess, which you can play with whoever it is you're chatting with. Quite fun really, even more so if you have voice chat enabled. :)
Just make sure you have java installed. ;)

Not really, you can play the game as long as you have basic understanding of it. Of course, that doesn't mean you'd be good at it. :)

I agree :) But, if you're very concentrated and you think logical & fast, u can master the game without that much of a practice :)
Does any1 know a good chess app for Nokia XpressMusic ( Symbian ) ?
If u do, please post how to get the app ( use direct links if possible )
    Grateful upfront,
    Misa Misa :D

Since excelling in chess requires strategy, & a good eye, I guess training & practice will make you better. :)

You can download a chess game online and play against an AI but playing against a human is more fun.

Yeah, playing people is the thing, cause playing a computer isn't fun at all, i mean the pc doesn't have a character, like people do;)

    Practice against yourself.

First match, play as white; second, play as black (even though you're playing as both, obviously).

See if you're better acting or responding.

Go nuts when you beat the color you were playing as that match, it happens more often than you think.

Then go spread the joy of the game (please don't make it nerdier than it is; it's aristocratic and should be treated as such).

Don't play against a computer, too simple. Sometimes making the illogical move is the best.

Thus, we can say that being good at it requires a lot of practice?

Or is it simply a skill that makes people good player?
