Rules How to change my user name or close my account here.

I would like to change my username. How I do this? I really need to change it to a more related name. Stupid me I registered a name I do not like now - i just did not know any better.

Apparently I cannot register under a different name - I do not want to break the forum rules.

Could you just close my existing account and then I open a new one under the name I want? I do not mind starting from zero posts again.

Do you have any suggestions please? I really need to do this. I think that overall I have a good reputation.

Frankly I like your username .. its nice ..anyway as Shawn mentioned you need to pay if you want to change your current username

 

That is expensive for me as I am just starting out.

Does my existing user name get cancelled for inactivity - lets say I stop posting here for 6 months or so.

Or do you keep inactive users forever?

I never heard it before that mods are deleting account due to inactivity for certain period

Well, if you create a new account you're going to get banned for duplicate accounts, so you might as well pay for it. It's a one-time thing after all, or wait it out till you make enough money from the forum - then get it.
