photoshop ?

I have PS 6 and when I am trying to add a text layer , I can only type one line. It does not let me hit enter to start the next line. Does anyone know if this is a setting that can be adjusted?

Try dragging a text box with the text tool to the size you require before typing.

 

I tried that it still just types in a straight line and never drops down.

 

i use ps 7 and i have never faced such a prob. maybe some of ur ps files are corupt. try to reinstal ps if even that dosent work try using ps 7 its much betre than that.

 

Maybe it's silly, but try Shift + Enter.

 

Or update to a higher Photoshop.

 

If I remember correctly the text handling in PS improved a lot with version 7....

 

Hi,

Type some smaller fonts like 12 pt and enter something and hit enter. If this don't help you have to reinstal it and put it up. Use photoshop 7 or above. There are new futures and don't have bugs like older ones.

I have the same problem. I normally add a new text box for each line anyway so that I can position the text more accuratly. Normally I don't have more than a few line of text in each graphic so it is not a problem.

 

They are right, there were alot of bugs in ps 6 and prior, even ones normal graphics editors never saw. You should update to photoshop 7, even with ps cs2 out, people still tend to like ps 7 best

 

after typing the text just press numaric Enter

 

That's an interesting statement, I'm just about to upgrade. I assumed the newest would be the best. Why do you say 7 is better?

 

the only way that I have found to fix this, is open the text palette and under paragraph- hit reset paragraph, and also reset character.

It fixed it for me.
