Some people choose bad niches or high competition niches. Others just dont market their blog or website at all. That's pretty much it in a nutshell.
Are you saying that to profit from Adsense one needs to 1. choose a good niche 2. without high competition 3. market the website or blog? Here my question: What is a "good" niche? What makes it "good"?
Why some people profit and some people lose depends on the strategy, or lack there of, they are using. A good niche must be researched and chosen. What is a good niche? A good niche is one with high or moderate traffic, yet low competition. As well as a hungry market if you are selling something. How do you find this out? Well a good way to start is to use the google keyword tool or wordtracker. Find the words with a good amount of searches. Put these keywords into the google search with quotes and see if they have a low number of results. How can you find out if the market is hungry? Use google. Do some searches on the niche and find its forums. Find out what the people want. Find out their needs. If the niche doesn't have forums then that niche may not be hungry enough to try to sell things to. There are many ways to market a site. SEO, article marketing, blogs, forums, etc. If you would like more detail, or more of a step by step guide on making your blog profitable, check out my signature.
"Market samurai" - thanks a lot, moijtata. What's your experience with market samurai? Did you sing up for it after the 30 days?
some people are pro and some people are just whiny noobs? i'm just a noob though, i only make $3,481 a month
There's no loss with AdSense, only loss of time if you eventually give up, but otherwise it's just learning time. And the key to generate good money with AdSense is simply good ad placement and lot of traffic. That's why you should avoid high competition (amongst webmasters) niches, because you're unlikely to be better than the top webmasters.
ought to disagree though I also used to think the same But high competition niches are such, you need hard work and persistence, i persisted with one of them, and have been trying since more than a year and now have first page positions, but pays well and very well for that matter, true it is very volatile there and the sites gets thrown up and down, happening since three months, but hoping that it will settle down once the site ages, then it should be a cool earner, fingers crossed
Traffic is the key to making a lot of money on Adsense. Using Market Samurai can be extremely helpful when trying to find low competition keywords. But I think the biggest mistake people make is TIME! Give your site time to rank (2-3 months) to get a first page ranking and get some traffic. Don't forget to rank high for your category keywords if you want even more traffic.
No that is not my point. I have only made money from AdSense It's very easy to make money with AdSense.
