    Hi

(admins, please forgive me. My previous post title goes wrong, Thats why i created same thread again)

The title seems confused. But here i am frustrated due to peculiar issue with my wordpress self hosted News Blog http://www.vamban.com

In earlier days, I do not have any problem with google indexing my blog posts. Google crawl and index my posts in couple of minutes and i can able to see indexed posts by using the exact post URL to search with google.

But past couple of days, i have peculier problem with google to index my site. Check this screenshot.

The above screenshot shows that, my post http://www.vamban.com/bon-jovi-shuns-hollywood/ is successfully indexed with google search engine. The above post is published on 24 Oct 2009 and its indexed by google.

When i use the google advanced search operators like site:www.vamban.com i can able to see the above post under google search results. But when i use the exact post URL in google search, it shows home page, instead of post page.

Check this URL and screenshot of google search result : http://www.vamban.com/bon-jovi-shuns-hollywood/

The above post is indexed by google. But not shown up when search the post using exact post URL in google. What will the problem?

Other issues as follows. Here is the one of the post URL which is published today 24 oct 2009. This post URL was http://www.vamban.com/south-korea-preparing-for-afghan-reconstruction-work-minister/

When i use the above URL in google search, nothing found under search results as shown below.

But When i use the same URL with advanced google operator like
site:www.vamban.com South Korea Preparing for Afghan Reconstruction Work: Minister Google shownup the same page under google search results. Here is the screenshot of the above search result.

Its clearly indicates that, the above URL is successfully crawled and indexed. But when i search with the post URL in google, its doest returns any search results for above indexed page. I have similar problem in most of my blog posts.

What will be the problem? How can i resolve this issue?

Google grabs your page into the index near immediately. First they scan your homepage, then if there's a link on the homepage that's new ... they then scan the new links at a later time.

You search for http://www.vamban.com/bon-jovi-shuns-hollywood/ ... this is a simple search (doesn't have site: in it) ... google strips out the http, the //, the .'s ... all google uses on this search is www vamban com bon jovi shuns hollywood. Your homepage would rank perfectly for this because all those words are on there, your new post text is on there. The actual post itself would rank good for this search as well, the only problem is (which isn't really a problem), the date of the post is October 24. Expecting google to not only scan your homepage ... but take the new links on the homepage, scan those and put those into the index as well, all in less than 24 hours after the post ... that's expecting a little too much. It'll get indexed soon enough I'm sure.

Regarding the second problem (google indexed the URL but you search for the URL and you don't find it) ... google puts pages into the index as soon as it can find them, but it doesn't immediately apply all its algorithms to that page. The algorithms are applied over time. First stage, page shows up in the google index, you can find it (like you did) by searching for the url with site: ... but it's not available yet with searching for keywords. Google got the page, but they haven't analyzed it yet. They have to scan your page, then they have to calculate the balance of words on the page ... eventually the page will rise or fall as its compared to other pages for the same keywords and/or penalties for keyword stuffing, etc. but that doesn't happen until google has had a chance to analyze the content. It doesn't do that in less than 24 hours, give google some time and you'll be able to find it based on the keywords instead of just with site:

Biggest problem you have is searching google for a URL ... you search for http://www.vamban.com/bon-jovi-shuns-hollywood/ you're not searching for what you think you're searching for. either type the site: in front of it and you're searching for that particular page, but searching for a URL without site is the same as searching for http vamban com bon jovi shuns hollywood. Google has that page indexed but doesn't have the keywords analyzed so quickly to know that your indexed page actually has those words on it yet.

You have to wait for the keywords to build and associate to your website...I would focus on blog commenting and articles for keyword association

seocopycat gave a great explanation. My 2 cents: The main thing is the phrases / title search bring up the desired page. No one is searching for that exact page in Google other than you :) so that's a plus (better this way than the other). Also, if you want to tell the SE's, "hey, this page is associated with this", submit it to some bookmarking sites, or get a couple links to it. Then G will understand that inner page /xyz should be recognized for for that title.

You don't need to worry about this. Even I have faced similar problem like yours but with time everytime goes fine. So you don't have to concentrate much on thinking how Google will index your site. You should concentrate on your content and maintain your blog frequency.
I guarantee that this is not a long time problem for you. It will clear within 1 month.

Not exactly this problem.......but yes I had faced a problem with info operator.
My site was not showing any result when searched through info operator. I asked many people about my issue........they all was saying "Keep Patience", It will automatically solved.
I checked your url there are some issues of duplicate content, that's why your some URL are omitted in Google search result
