Do I need to optimize?

Hi, just a general question about wordpress optimization...

I'm not sure how the database works, but I recently deleted roughly 2k posts from one of my sites. There are around 9k posts left, but my question is do I need to do any sort of clean-up/optimization after this?

 

i would go in and do a MySQL optimization on all the tables.. but if you dont, i doubt it would hurt much..

Also - I've created and deleted a lot of posts in the past, and new posts id's are in the 19000's now.. Is there any problem with letting this number go to high? My total posts are only around 9k right now?

 

How old is the blog ?

i dont know what the comment# limit is, or if there even is one, but if there is, i doubt you're close to it yet.
