Twitter as a Source of Traffic ?

Do you believe that twitter can be source of good traffic ?
What percentage of traffic you are getting from twitter ?
How Many followers are enough to get 1k Unique from twitter ?

Twitter can become a good source of traffic but you need time to get it. First, be a member with good tweet, get more and more followers, sometimes you can tweet your article to get traffic, but never tweet your site continuously.

If you want 1k visitor daily from twitter, I think you maybe need more than 3000 "quaility" follower.

 

I think twitter is not a very good source for traffic. Now days Facebook is a good one and getting good traffic from it.

 

Twitter is a good source for me, the other members of the site and I usually promote our site's twitter using our personal twitters.

 

Twitter definately was the finishing touch on giving my site a pr of 3 but for traffic wise I believe facebook has worked better on my site.

 

I would say to get 1K unique per month from Twitter you need to have generated 25-30,000 followers genuinely not through "I follow you, you follow me, k buddy!"

 

All you gotta do is interact and respond to people to expect anything.

 

Twitter is great source of traffic but it is only for big brands like TechCrunch not for small bloggers, and I think at present TechCrunch has more than the twitter.

 

You need to able to provide quality stuffs on Twitter. If you provide what people need then you can surely drive people from there.

About 1k people. It depends. I have no answer for it.

 

If you target followers correctly, and check them often to make sure they aren't spam/bot accounts, you can get actually a nice amount of a real people.
One tactic is to simply check your DM's.
Anybody trying to sell something = spammer, just delete them off your followers then you have an extra person to follow that day.

There are many other methods as well, some of which I'll be selling soon once I get my business up.

 

Yes It sends traffic but it will not last long and most of the traffic will visit one time only.

Traffice from Twitter could be a good source, but I think it's time consuming...you will need a lot of good followers.

 

Twitter is only as good to having to provide a good source of traffic if you have a large following and at the same time a good relationship with these followers.

But nothing beats the surge of traffic coming in from the search engines.

 

To get 1k visitors from Twitter you will need more than 10k followers or even more than that as only few of them click on the updates.

Twitter is good long term. Build a good list of targeted followers and in 6 months you have a nice targeted crowd to direct to any site. and if the site is related to the audience they won't be one time visitors to the site
