If you go into webmaster tools you can choose which to use.

If your not sure which to use then I always have mine indexed without the www. as it's just easier to read in my opinion :)

It doesn't make any difference, and you're not going to have a better page rank when your domain is indexed as http://www.mysite.com. I personally believe that it's much easier to have your domain indexed as http://mysite.com.

The web hasn't needed www. for a long time, people still use it out of habbit though.

Personally I'd redirect your www. to http

    Thank you all..

Barre Tire, I gave 301 redirect as I read it may affect my page ranking and also duplicate content issue with google.

By doing this it actually fixes any dup contenet issues. What happens is that Google looks as your site as 2 different sites. Many host or for instance if you are using wordpress this is alreasy installed for you. By doing the redirect it tells the search engines that there is only on website and not 2. We had this problem with our main site for years without realising it. What was happening is we got caught in a duplicate contenet penaly forcing our site to go into the supplemental serps. after doing the redirect that changed and Google indexes the site as one site instead of two, hopefully that makes sense.

    that's not really true..

u don't have to worry about PR... because it's the same thing with or without www..

another thing, there is no duplicate content issue since all the files have not been doubled, and google considers www or without www as the same thing.

use URL rewrite and take things slow.. if your original PR and content is convinced enough with Goggle, u will achieve the same thing with or without..

after all, PR is just a fact.. as long as you make money with PR1 while other PR5 has nothing but a text link sales.. I don't really mind being poor PR but making a significant conversion on my site.

    hope that helps

with or without it doesn't matter, just make a decision on one of them as both at the same time can confuse google.
