What you've been drawn attention to was that copies of your vbulletin files were discovered to be running on other websites which means exactly what it looks like. You must have been informed about the websites involved so that you could start investigating the problem on your end. That's where you should start, get in touch with the current website owners.

Been sent hundreds of letters on his site
And supervisors with him and members also
Registered several names and sent it to no avail
They seem to refuse to admit to theft

You could always contact the hosts of the sites running the installs and request they remove the licenses. It is after all the one that you paid for.

Have you reported to byethost.org ? That is where they are currently hosted. If you already have done that ..did you get any response from the Bytehost Support Team ?

TESTING is not allowed to be on a different server! You do a test install on your SAME site under a testvb folder, which is password protected. No wonder they are asking you to take it down. You broke their agreement and TOS.

Also, if it's installed somewhere else. It means someone HAS your files. Otherwise, they wouldn't be able to use vB. So somehow someone got your vB files and used them somewhere else.

Either that, or you let someone use your files, which is breaking the rules once again...... IT IS YOUR! responsibility to keep your files safe.

solution is you need to make sure NO ONE has your files. And no offense, but you shouldn't sell your license and I hope NO ONE buys it from you. Because, chances are if someone has your files. They will be distributed else where or someone still may have access to them.

I know the vB staff will NOT recommend any of your buyers, that try to verify the license to buy it from you. Why? for the same reasons I listed above. The new users will be at risk of losing the license, if someone out there has the files still.
