Good post The link is probably a little over the top but raises some vaid points. Water supply is very important in the middle east. It comes as no surprise that the goverment and military of Israel and in fact most countries, (including Hezbollah) look for justification for exponential arms budgets and continuing existence. The IDF wouldnt exist without external threats and Hezbollah wouldnt exist without Israel. A symbiotic parasitic relationship. The same with most goverments and military organisations.
Once again, I can say that the charecteristict of the war from Israels side is very weak. Hezbollah fires off more rockets now than they did when the war started and the general image of Israel has gone to the bottom. It's a FAILURE And I don't critisize Israels right to war, I critisize the heavy IDF casualties, the low Hezbollah casualties(not even 100 times as much as your own despite having the "best" troops in the world) and their failure on the mission to disarm hezbollah. You are weak. Atleast for this time.
It's very easy to say that "hey lets go to disarmed hezbollah in 6 days" All the world forget that hezbollah prepare to this war 6 years! Do you know what you can do in 6 years? Do you know how much people you can recruitment in 6 years? Do you know how much training you can do in 6 years? Do you know how much weapons you can gather in 6 years? And don't forget hezbollah knows the area well ... they set traps all over the area, cause they prepare it 6 fucking years. Of course Israel could finish the war not in 6 days, in maybe 2 days if they would use their weapons without considerate citizans. And another thing: this situation is war, do you know other war that one side of the war warn the other side where they going to bomb? (just Israel do that - to let lebanon citizans evacuate from the places.
Well if you really cared about defending yourself against Hezbollah, then why havn't THEL been implemented as a missile defense? Why havn't your missile-mortar defense system been applied on your merkeva tanks which could defend them against all missiles from hezbollahs arsenal? Why is there only 10.000 soldiers in Lebanon and not 40.000-70.000? Why is only XX hezbollah soldiers killed each day and not XXX or XXXX? Admitt it, you should have learned from Bush successfull invasion of Iraq 2003 where Saddams army was defeated in 3 weeks, but you have learned nothing. And don't come to me and say IDFs infantry is better than Americas. It isn't. America is best, period!

You don't aware the situation. Katyusha doesn't worth a patriot missile to be launch, it's not skad or shihav. The war is slowly because if the area Hizbualla trap, the movement of the soldiers is slow, there is ambush all over and you just can understand that Israel is fighting against terror org. and not against country - that is way more difficult. It's like the big army of US, that came to afgan to find bin laden, did they find him? no ... so they fail? no!
I meant in the specific area as I talked about. There are plenty of rumors that IDF is the most effective millitary on earth. However, to me it seems that the Marine Core is the best massive unit you can get. I think they could easily beat golani troops in a man to man fight. But most important, the millitary leadership of the US is much stronger/effective than the one of Israel. They should mayby order some marine units to take of hezbollah. But, this may not be truth if the article on prisonplanet is true. If Israellis strategically wants to play the victim. But I highly doubt that.
Did you read ALL the history? or did you just read from when israel lived in that area? Do you know that arabs lived in the area more than 3 thousands years before israel came? Go and read the history. I am talking about Arabs not muslims.
