In your opinion. What are some good MODs / plugins that benefit you when using myBB software. No useless MODs, list some good MODs that will benefit for the forum for factors like SEO. MyBB is a really decent software, all of the essentials to run and maintain a decent forum are already there. Here are some pretty decent plugins I'd add to a vanilla installation though: Welcome PM Link: http://mods.mybboard.net/view/welcome-pm Pretty self-explanatory, sends a PM to new members when they first log in. Nothing hugely beneficial, but it's always nice to be welcomed to the Community, even if it's just the bog standard "Welcome to the forums, introduce yourself here, you can read the rules here, have a good time, blah blah blah..." Show Online Today Link: http://mods.mybboard.net/view/online-today-1.2.2 Again, the title pretty much speaks for itself. This plugin shows a list of users who have logged in over the past x hours (If I remember correctly you should be able to configure this in Admin Panel). Probably not great to install on new communities (After all, who wants to show off the fact that hardly anyone visits their site). Although once you get / if you have a thriving member base I'd recommend it, makes the forum look active which is attractive to those considering joining your community. Multiple Reputations Link: http://mods.mybboard.net/view/multiple-reputations-1.0.1 As you may or may not know, my default on MyBB users can only give rep to another member once. Some have re-branaded the so called "Reputation" feature as more "User rating system", seeing as Rep comments aren't linked to specific posts etc. For example if I were to give you +1 rep, then 2 months later gave you a -2, you wouldn't go to -1, you'd go straight to -2. The Multiple reputation plugin makes it more like the standard bulletin board Rep System everyone is familiar with, allowing users to add reputation to the same user more than once. (note: The multiple reputation feature will be built in as standard on MyBB v 1.6).
