    Amazon is an affiliate program, which is based on how many sales you make. Depending on what type of website you have, Google AdSense or BuySellAds may be a better option.

    Also write articles that promote products with you affiliate link in it. You can write review articles about all kinds of different things.

    Adding adsense is probably one of the easiest ways.

    most of the people use Pay Per Click advertising but placing a small 125x125 add directly form your publisher who pay you for that monthly can bring a big amount of money. Most of the blogs follow this

    Affiliate marketing is the best IMO, especially for more targeted visitors. (if your site is a gambling site for instance, adsense won't get you a dime, but affiliate marketing could make you rich)

    If your site has a very broad appeal, like maybe a wallpaper site, then adsense might be the best thing for you.

    Monetize by putting Adsense, CPM, CPA, CPC, affilaiate products, amazon etc, alternatively you can also sell Ad space ;)
