Excellent, definitely one of the first things I have seen good from the Press in a loooong time.

Fox is not the "press" they are a 24/7 GOP commercial. The President should no sooner agree to be interviewed for their network than he should agree to be in a Republican commercial.

It should also be noted that George W. Bush locked out MSNBC and Fox News didn't make a peep about that. And unlike Fox, MSNBC is unbiased during their straight news coverage and they even have Joe S. on for three hours every day - where is the three hour liberal program on Fox every day? (and I don't mean some loser like Alan Colmes, I mean a real strong liberal.)

As a point of how Fox is really nothing more than a Republican commercial this is a headline they actually have on their homepage right now:

    "YOU Can Still Stop Obamacare"

That is not reporting, that is political organizing.

Watch This Video To Get A Good Understanding Of How Fox News Has Been Attacking The President Since January 20.

CNN and msnbc are arms of the white house. However they still shouldn't be locked out.

    Obama is a cry baby.

The press must support the Obama agenda for Obama to consider it a legitimate.

    He is a fascist.

    Fox is the crybaby.

Why didn't Fox say anything about Bush freezing out MSNBC?

Oh yes, because they couldn't care less about the press. All they care about is their right wing agenda (and of course, their ratings.)

This is such BS. CNN has not been particularly supportive of health care reform, they have tons of conservative voices on their network. MSNBC has Joe S. on every day for three hours. This has nothing to do with the "press" supporting or not supporting Obama, this has to do with the fact that Fox is not the press and never has been the press. Fox is a GOP commercial.

What it is, is an editorial. I find it interesting how party wonks spit the talking points without regard to thought at all and never consider the difference between editorials and reporting when talking about Fox News.

Editorializing is opinion by definition, and the shows the kool-aid drinkers complain about are editorial shows.

It's like complaining that Olbermann isn't "reporting" he's "editorializing"... of course he is, he's got an editorial show on MSNBC.

The so called "straight news" on Fox is almost as biased as their opinion programs. They spew out GOP talking points 24/7. It's so rare for someone on Fox to say anything that's out of line with GOP talking points that every time it does happen it's a huge story (about once a month someone like Shep Smith may say something that's not 100% in line with GOP talking points.)

On the other hand during MSNBC's straight news they let GOP Senators come on and tell lies about health care reform with no response. And CNN is totally soft on Republican lies. It's absolute absurdity to compare the 24/7 GOP attack ad commercial that is Fox with real news networks.

Watch the documentary OutFoxed to get an understanding of how Fox actually works. This is not a news organization.

And like I said, Bush froze out MSNBC and you never heard Fox make a peep about that.

Please. During the election the liberal media gave Obama a free ride.

Obama is a fascist who tries to exert total control.

A free ride my ass! They were all over Obama for all sorts of absurd stories (most of which got their start on the Fox GOP Channel.) The news networks talked about ridiculous "stories" like Rev. Wright & Bill Ayers incessantly while barely talking about McCain's connections to Charles Keating and that Nixon thug whom I can't remember the name of right now. That's a good example of how little they talked about it, I can't even remember the dude's name and McCain had just as much of a connection to him as Obama had to Ayers (more so actually, much more so.)

This phrase really says it all about the ridiculous hypocrisy of the right wing on this issue. For years Republican politicians have been trying to delegitimize real news organizations by calling them "liberal media." And now when Obama delegitimizes a FAKE "news" organization like the Fox GOP Channel it's supposed to be some huge crime?

The liberal media isn't legitimate but Americans still don't believe they should be shut out like the fascist Obama is trying to do to his opponents.

    Obama is a wannabe dictator.

You got all that from this??

I guess I need to go edit my other post and add that the other reason this is getting any attention is because as usual there are people trying to use any excuse they find to get in some "fascist" and "socialist" jabs no matter how much of a stretch.

    I am not stretching.

Trying to control the press to these lengths is the mark of a fascist.

Fox Made Up The Entire Story.

Wow. Just... Wow. Unbelievable. How can anyone still defend Fox? It's freaking INSANE. This is not a "news" organization in any way shape or form.
