Exactly....Say it's a freek-trend....lmao. I see many people here that are the complete opposite of LA, but they're doing it the wrong way. Instead of having some level of fashion or upkeep (which is social thing), they take it overboard, and try to appear that much more against convention.

I do get the same sense, as if women in SF have simply "given up". I do like the natural look, but if going natural means protecting the ozone layer by avoiding showers, keeping rivers clean by not washing your cloths and avoiding deodorant by any costs ... I do prefer the hot, fake L.A. women any day :D:D:D:D

There is nothing wrong with either fake or real to me as long as it looks good

muhahha, when I am single I have really low "standards" , I think guys who hold out to only sleep with really "desirable" woman are a little bit gay. One of the coolest girlfriends I ever went out with, many people thought was ugly.

yeah thats because there are tons of hippie street kids , just like in portland and Santa Cruz

I think guys who hold out to sleep with "desirable" women need to get a clue.

Fake... real... bah. It's like you're sleeping with a barbie doll if they're all plastic surgery, bleach blonde bimbo types. Gross! But whatever's clever, I suppose. :p

I dunno if it's ok to make that statement unles you've been with a hot blonde with gorgeous eyes and fake fun bags.

I can tell you from experience... it was NOT gross.

Of course you'd say that, you're a male. However, if I were a male I can tell you the idea of being with a plastic woman disgusts the hell out of me. Maybe it's because I have standards.

Not so much standards as well, personal likes. Alot of guys love fake, they love barbie doll looks. I'd take natural with flaws over fake perfection anyday. In my eyes even the flaws, being natural makes the beauty all that more PERFECT in reality. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but I'll take the flaws anyday for natural, and learn to love the flaws myself. Other guys love fake perfection, let them, there are many woman who are fake for those guys who love fake perfection..

Haha, you keep saying plastic as if we have to remove the wrapping to get to the breasts... have you ever felt a fake boobie? I mean real professional surgically implanted ones not the ones you get in the socks section at wal-mart. :D

And what does standards mean? By standards you mean attractive right? If done right plastic surgery can make you pretty darn attractive ;)

Thank you, Grim. I'm glad to see there are still reasonable guys around who realize women have flaws but can still be beautiful.

I realize they might not FEEL like plastic, GeorgeB. That's all well and good, for you. But it's just disgusting that a woman would do that to her body, and that some men would actually prefer it over a real woman. I might not be the most gorgeous girl in the world, but I'm okay with my flaws and don't feel the need to inject plastic into my boobs to supposedly feel better about myself.

And having read that I should state for the record I don't seek out women who've had work done as my preference. Only saying that I've seen a lot who have and even had the pleasure of being in a relationship with one and it was quite a beautiful thing.

I'm just trying to "get" Denise's point of view that women who've had surgery are nasty disgusting things. Some of the most beautiful women are beautiful "partly" because they've had work done. It's a part of them now. I can't agree with you GRIM. I don't go for perfect because nobody is, but if a woman gets work done it doesn't make her ugly either.

Perhaps I should clarify. I'm not saying that women who have plastic surgery are ugly. I am simply saying that plastic surgery itself is disgusting. A lot of women that I've talked to who have either considered surgery or already had it done did so because a man made them feel unattractive. I think that's ludicrous! If some men weren't so intent on "perfection," or their idea of it, women wouldn't have to go to such drastic measures to correct their supposed flaws.

What a can of worms. I also am not saying 'fake' is ugly, I simply see more beauty in natural even with flaws. Even if someone is not 'perfect' I can see perfection, or should I say I have sene perfection in one person, in one woman both physically and emotionally in my life. It does exist, you learn to take the flaws and find the beauty in them, it makes the person who they are. Without the 'flaws' they would not exist or be who they are, making the flaws part of perfection. I lost my perfection, I just hope if anyone else finds their perfection they do not lose theirs ;)

Now I'm going to say this without the slightest intention of offending you. If that is you in your avatar I can say confidently that you are an attractive woman....

But that line is the same line you'll hear repeated at fat camps. "You can be fat and still be beautiful". It's true, you can....... but most people you'll hear saying that are fat women or people that love them...

Problem with your logic is a lot of women who do it (or at least a lot of the ones I've met) don't do it because they think they have flaws. They do it because they know they look good and want to look even better. The person I keep referring to that I had a relationship with was an absolute knockout before she even got work done. I saw pics of her before I met her and she was always gorgeous. But looking at her now after getting lipo and breast work in a bikini, well, I can say there is nothign wrong with what she's done. Let's leave it at that.

It's not like you "want" to be like that ... it just kinda happens. You see big boobs ... real or fake ... at that point it doesn't make a difference which one.

You didn't offend me, GeorgeB so no worries there.

I don't believe that there is one, and only one, standard of beauty. I believe that everyone can be beautiful, regardless of their weight, breast size, eye color, hair, whatever. Can women look good with plastic surgery? Sure, if it's done well. I'm not denying that. I just don't see a reason for it to be done, and why some men have a bit of a fascination with it.

But yes. Let's leave it at that, and agree that this topic will never end if we keep discussing it ;)

That was beautiful... hold on lemme get some tissue...

OK now back in the real world, where, people have differnet opinions on beauty, it is completely cool for you to feel that way. But for me that's like looking at your favorite car brand new and fresh off the assemply line. Perfect in every way. Then hitting it with a ding here and there and a scratch or 2 then saying... ahh now that it has flaws I can see the beauty in it.
Well of course. You're talking about your spouse right? You see we have a genuine apples and oranges situation here because I'm talking about people in general and initial attraction. People try and blame it on society ALL THE TIME and guess what? We are society and it is embedded in us naturally to look for the most perfect mate as possible (that would actually accept you as well) because it helps evolution rid us of physical and genetic flaws to make us a more perfect species for our environment.

Now because we are human and our minds can comprehend love, we "learn" to look past flaws because we love that person. But that fact that you have to "learn" to look past it means you are goign against what you really want in the first place. I'm just saying be honest with yourself is all.

Beauty fades and no amount of plastic surgery can stop that. But that doesn't mean we can't enjoy it while it's here and enjoy each other's company later.
