Thanks for some great tips above and Blog commenting, blog submission and Pdf doc, E-book submission also good to get backlinks.
I have tried lots of the techniques described above and what I found is that if you aren't really focussed you can waste a lot of time. You need high quality links, bottom-line. I have used Unique Article Wizard and it is helpful and I used to use LinkVana and they have a really good service, the links from LinkVana did way more for my rankings then all of the other efforts (except getting on the first page of Digg once and 5,000 visitors in a hour!), LinkVana is expensive though at 150$ per month and it is time consuming to enter each 100 word text piece just to get 1 link...
I dont think anyone mentions video marketing...links from video sites are very valuable in googles eyes..they are eating up anything video right now..so videos by themselves will rank high in google plus the backlinks from video sites....and there are tons out there
I just recommend you to follow simple and effective technique like Article submissions, yahoo answers posting and blog commenting. Simple and effective
Those 106 points 106 points (because double posted ) are not for everyone. Article submission and blog commenting are enough and keep asking for link backs. Rest are way too much for small time webmasters.
I have seen the 106 linking ideas or a variation of it for a number of years now. Anyone who has the time as well as the naivete to follow it will find themselves wasting a lot of time. Don't get me wrong the list does have some good, decent ideas and it is a good starting place for those starting out getting backlinks. viral linkbait - Wordpress plugin -Sindiket Forum -posts to blog carnivals are just some of the ideas that most, if not all newbies don't have any idea about. I thus tend to agree that anyone asking for the "fastest ways to get backlinks" is relatively clueless about backlinks as there are no fastest ways. Sure there are faster ways than others but are they good, permanent, relevant, from good neighberhoods, blacklisted............ Remember folks if it looks too good to be true, it isn't necessarily true. It took me a long time to figure out the best answers are like those that suggest work on 3-4-5 methods that are proven, rather than trying to bite off some of these rather difficult methods that may work but the learning curve is rather steep.
Article marketing, facebook (create a page) and social bookmarking. Link exchange waste of time. UAW is good for links but they do not all stick. However UAW does submit your article to blogs in your niche.
I wonder how u get these many points. All these seems to be simple tricks but will surely workout. Thanks for your sharing.
