    On page is which can be done to website itself. Below I have tried to summarize some of the most important on-page optimization techniques for you. You can implement some of these if not all to give your site a better exposure to the search engines as well as to increase your overall CTR (Click-Through-Rate) ratio.

    * SEF URL's
    * Fresh content with out copy
    * Select Relevant keywords
    * Sitemap Creation
    * Internal Links
    * ALT Tags
    * H1 Tags
    * Meta Tag Content
    * Image Optimization

    This acts as the vital requirement which is necessary to improve website rankings in major search engines like Google, yahoo and msn.

    Hello Friend,

    I think that first of all you should select keywords related from your product, and then you should use your keyword in title and description because then your keywords density will increase and you should also use alt tag this is the very important factor of on page. You should also use a fresh content and you can also put your keywords in your content.

    The most important part of search engine optimization is fine tuning of on page factors. Do check if you are missing something while optimizing your web pages:
    1. Page Title Element
    2. Page Name (url)
    3. Keyword prominence
    4. Keyword proximity
    5. Keyword density
    6. Location of Keywords on the Page (beginning to end, keywords in links, location of keywords in paragraph, footer, sidebar, header etc)
    7. Number of occurrences of keyword
    8. Heading Tags (h1-h3)
    9. Text Type (bold, italic)
    10. Links(Anchor text, location of links(header/footer..), title tag, inbound links, outbound links)
    11. Images(file name, title element, alt attribute, location of image in the page, links on image)
    12. Number of words in a page
    13. Page layout (css errors, html errors, xhtml compliant)
    14. Meta Tags (description, keywords, robots, content type)
    15. Lower and Upper case letters in words
    16. Use of stop words
    17. Comment tags

    I think Shortex has mention almost all the onpage factors. Firstly you have to decided the keywords according to searching and competition and then target 3-4 keywords in starting. Use keywords at least once in title in heading tags.

    There are 3 important things that you need to concentrate on ON-PAGE optimization.

    1. Title Tage ( Insert your targeted keywords in it)
    2. Description ( Write little note about your site and what the site exactly about)
    3. Keywords ( It is the important keywords that you need to focus are listed here)

    Before doing all these, you need to analyze your competitor site. Good luck.
