Seems like Google intentionally sucks at social media. Orkut, while a success in Brazil, was a "miserable failure" almost everywhere else. Google's vision is centered around contextual advertising and SEARCH - the best monitization model to date - one that assumes people will recognize what they are looking for when they find it, and facilitates that process. Email - Google's primary social media - is probably one of their most controversial. Google scans your personal emails for content that it can use to display contextual advertising next to it. Seems like they've already got all the social media data they're looking for right in your mailbox. Interestingly, Google was the only company somehow able to skirt the privacy laws both Microsoft and Yahoo were subject to. Google stores your G-mail, even after you delete it... which, in my opinion, is why they suck at social media.

Well i am looking forward for Google wave to launch for Publicly , And what i see in video its show me that, Google wave will beat every Social Media network For sure, Like Orkut does in Past,
