I ran a dating site for over 2 years and it has potential. The key is traffic and if targeted properly, you can get some great results. Adsense was regularly paying about 40 cents per click. Using some of the affiliate programs for this niche was a much better result for me.
Even though the eCPM may be low, but your CTR will be extremely high. But you'd be better off using some other form of advertising like CPM.
Don't be like other clowns doing blogs on things they have no interest in just to try to get high click. It won't do you any good as Google is smart to notice junk content and will flag you for a lower paying rate. Stick with your Dating blog and write about something you like. At first you may have low visitors but as you build better content, more people will come if your blog is worth coming to. So the goal is to provide something people want to read about. If you can do this, then go and do it. Competition for finance/insurance/lawyers/duis/etc are so huge that your blog will get little to no organic traffic.. Good luck young spirit!
Your earnings mostly depend on the traffic (clicks) you receive. On the dating site that my company manages, the earnings are between $.05 to $1 per click, the average is about $.3
i have a new christian dating website i'm going to be putting ads on mine will keep you informed to what i earn. right know i'm getting about 1000 page views per day and growing staying on about 16 minutes and 31 seconds according to google analytics. My sight has only been up about a month so not bad.
Sure, 1 month old site if having 1000 page views/day is absolutely very good. Will wait for your updates regarding earning potential of your site. Thanks.
if you have a dating site and manage to get some traffic to it, then i suggest you forget adsense and go with some dating affiliate programs. you should find some with linkshare or CJ that will pay lot higher than adsense. actually the ads you will display on your site with adsense will be for dating site afilaites anyways so why not cut the middleman and get paid more?
30-40 cents per click is average, but I think you just need to find a lot more traffic, I think there are a lot of traffic for the dating niche.
