I like it so far and will end up buying it, not sure whether I will buy it outright, or wait till I get a new PC with it pre installed. Cheers James
I don't think its good choice to buy windows 7 because it has many flaws so far. My review: It get hang up many a times in my case
I have install at my laptop HP Compaq with 4 GB RAM.. very good performance compare with Vista. All function almost same with Vista.but not heavy like Vista..There only issue is..many software not yet compatible. Another good news..My company going to upgrade from XP to Windows 7 next year globally..now under testing..
I haven't tried it yet but it does seem like people are saying it's pretty fast. I bet it's not as fast as Tiny XP
I'm using it since the betta was out and i didn't had any problems...is the best os that i had instaled on my computer.
I heard that Microsoft already started development of Windows 8. That's ridiculous. They need to spend at least a few years polishing Windows 7 before they move on to something else. It's also a little astounding that there are three versions of Win7. They're relying on their standard practice of sacrificing quality of products for sales, which is why Win8 is already being planned. Every day it's a constant struggle to not migrate to Ubuntu... but... I love my games. As to the original question... Win XP > Win 7 > Vista. At least for me.
MS Win 7 is supposed to be the best OS in the microsoft family so far. But I am not planning on upgradeing soon because it involves making bootable CDs that will erase the hard disk contents where I have files. There needs to be an indication somewhere that 'You can run the install file without needing to start from a bootable disk. And files and folder strucutre will be preserved" preferably on the instruction manual or on packaging slip.
I like it , indeed. It is what Windows Vista should have been. But, if it weren't for a few games , I would have used Ubuntu or any other Linux Distro instead of Windows.
