Need help editing the font color in excel

    Hi Everyone,
    I downloaded a budget excel spreadsheet from the internet and it goes from Jan-December Each month is a different color. I go to the font to change the color to the one I need, but it still stays the same color. Almost like it's hard coded into the sheet. Anyway to change this?

    Is it a read only version of the file? If yes, You need to save it on your computer before you can make any changes.

    It's not a read only version. I can input text or numbers and change everything I need to. Except when I try to change the color, it won't allow the change.
