Hi All, Maybe someone could help me sort this annoying problem out. I have a website with a static homepage, and a seperate blog page. However I want to add one specific blogpost to the front page and for it to remain there. Anyone know how to do this? Thanks
Is the static homepage powered by WP? Or is your blog in a separate directory/subdomain? If your homepage is WP powered, you can simply do something like this (I haven't checked the code, but I do something similar, in a similar way). Or if you're not into editing your theme files, then try Get-a-post. Personally, if it was me, I'd just copy and paste the content of the specific post into my theme's index file. But I'm really really lazy
Yeah. If the content is sticky, no need to mess around with the code, just copy and paste the content on the page. No need to delete it as a blog post..maybe change the first 150 words, and rearrange the title to get SERP love on both.
Thanks for the tips and tricks link its really useful, lot of stuffs available By the way yeah i wud also just put in theme file
+1 for that. Amazes me folks will bend over backwards and install a plugin, one that has to be run through on each and every load when a 2 second copy and paste is better.
