In light of recent threads i though this might be a useful thread to start, if your interested in boosting your links, signature links can be a very fruitful method. Now don't go spamming any forums, but a few relevant posts with links in your sigs can be beneficial to you. If everyone could add their own forums or other forums that they know accept sig links (and don't use the nofollow tag) So to start the list off here are a few forums that allow you to post with signatures: www.forums.digitalpoint.com - This forum!! www.countycricketclubs.co.uk - Cricket (sports) Forum www.buyingfirsttime.co.uk - Property Forum www.acorndomains.co.uk - UK domain name Forum www.davidcastle.org/BB - SEO forum
Thanks Sizzler, link corrected in my original post! www.a4uforum.co.uk - UK Affiliate marketing forum
Is it the sig will really benifit your ranking? My site is indexed very fast, but still not get ranking up
That is a discussion for another thread, it obviously depends on how competetive your target keywords are etc. Try using anchor text for your link. I was hoping that this thread would turn out to be a nice big list of forums that people know are indexed well by Google and provide backlinks!
I posted around 80 posts in http://www.games2web.com/forums/ and my signature link was indexed in Google!!!
www obesitydiscussion dot com (obesity help messageboard) www ls1tech dot com (GM sportscar enthusiast site) www ls2 dot com (GM sportscar enthusiast site)
Well this thread did'nt take off as much as i thought it would. Perhaps people don't realise the value of sig links? I actually found my way back here by checking for links (on google) for one of my sites, and guess what.........This page is counting on google as a link to my site! - Proof that they do work!
Forums are amazing for backlink building but also if you post in a forum related to your topic it can drive great traffic.
